Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • chopped garlic
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp zeera
  • few peppercorns
  • 2 potatoes, cubed
  • 1 carrot, cubed
  • 1 cup steamed peas (half cooked)
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • yellow capsicum, cubed
  • 3-4 green chillies
  • 1 cup brown ric
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  1. Heat oil. Add chopped garlic and onion and fry until soft. Add zeera and peppercorns. Cook for a while, then add potatoes, carrot, and peas. Fry for five minutes.
  2. Add chicken stock and cover. Cook until vegetables are half done, then add capsicum, green chillies, rice, and salt.
  3. Add more water as needed.
