Ingredients

  • 1 chicken cut into karahi pieces
  • *1 cup yogurt
  • *1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • *1 tsp garam masala
  • *1 tsp salt
  • *2 tsp red chilli powder
  • *8-10 plums
  • 1 cup oil
  • 6 onions
  • 2 potatoes (cut into pieces)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 kg rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 bunch chopped coriander

Method

  1. Marinate the chicken with the * items for two hours.
  2. Heat oil and fry the onions until they are light golden, remove from oil, and set aside.
  3. Put the chicken with all the marinade in the pot, cover, and cook until the chicken is tender.
  4. Fry until the oil separates, then add fried potatoes and half of the crushed onions.
  5. In another pan boil rice with salt, cumin seeds, and cloves.
  6. Make a layer of rice, chicken, chopped coriander, rice again, then finally brown onions.
