Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 4 tomatoes, boiled and pureed
  • 4 sliced green chillies (whothe?)
  • 1 tsp ground red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp turumeric powder
  • 1 thbsp garlic & ginger paste
  • 1 roasted and ground cinnamon stick
  • 7 curry leaves
  • 4 lemons
  • 1/2 tsp rai
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • salt (to taste)

Method

  1. Boil the lentils until tender
  2. Heat the oil in a seperate pan - add the curry leaves, all the spices and stir fry
  3. Add the pureed tomatoes with lemon juice
  4. Add the lentils and green chillies to the mixture & allow to cook on low flame (for how long?)
